ഡോ. പ്രമോദ് പിഷാരോടിയുടെ പുതിയ ഗവേഷണ പ്രബന്ധം

ഡോ. പ്രമോദ് പിഷാരോടിയും സംഘവും ചേർന്ന് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ഒരു ഗവേഷണ പ്രബന്ധം Nature Communications Biology എന്ന Nature Research ജേണലിൽ ഈയിടെ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.

പേശീചാലക നാഡിയെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis(ALS) എന്ന മാരകമായ ന്യൂറോളജിക്കൽ രോഗാവസ്ഥയെ നേരത്ത കണ്ടുപിടിക്കാൻ ഉതകുന്ന ഒരു കണ്ടുപിടുത്തമാണ് ഇവർ നടത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.

യു.എസിൽ, മിനസോട്ട (Minnesota)യിൽ, Center for Magnetic Resonance Research (CMRR), University of Minnesota (UMN)യിൽ ഗവേഷകനായി(Scientist) ജോലിനോക്കുന്ന പ്രമോദ് 2013-14 ൽ Brain image analysisലാണ് തന്റെ ആദ്യത്തെ ഗവേഷണം തുടങ്ങിയത്. പിന്നീട് വിവിധ വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ ഗവേഷണം നടത്തിയ പ്രമോദ് പാലക്കാടു NSS Engineering Collegeൽ നിന്നും Bachelor of Technology (Instrumentation & Control Engineering)ൽ 2003ൽ  കാലിക്കറ്റ് യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി ൽ നിന്നും ഒന്നാം റാങ്കോടെ സുവർണ്ണ മെഡൽ നേടിയ ബിരുദധാരിയാണ്. ബിരുദാനന്തരം  തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തു C-DAC ഇലും പിന്നീട് NTPC യിലും Engineer ആയി ജോലി ചെയ്തു. പിന്നീട് 2007 മുതൽ 2011 വരെ National University of Singapore ഇൽ PhD ചെയ്തു. രണ്ടു വർഷം സിങ്കപ്പൂർ Government Research Agencyൽ Scientist ആയി ജോലി ചെയ്തു.

കോട്ടയം കടുത്തുരുത്തി കൈലാസപുരത്തു പിഷാരത്ത് പരേതനായ ത്രിവിക്രമ പിഷാരടിയുടെയും വിജയപുരത്തു പിഷാരത്ത് പ്രേമ പിഷാരസ്യാരുടെയും മകൻ ആണ് പ്രമോദ്.

വല്ലച്ചിറ പിഷാരത്ത് രാധാകൃഷ്ണന്റെയും കൈലാസപുരത്തു പിഷാരത്ത് രമയുടെയും മകൾ രാധികയാണ് ഭാര്യ.
