പിഷാരോടി സമാജം മുംബൈ ശാഖയുടെ 43മത് വാർഷികാഘോഷങ്ങൾ 2026 ജനുവരി 4 ഞായറാഴ്ച വസായ് വെസ്റ്റ് ശബരിഗിരി അയ്യപ്പ മന്ദിരത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള പ്രാർത്ഥനാ മണ്ഡപം ഹാളിൽ വെച്ച് വിവിധ കലാപരിപാടികളോടെ ആഘോഷിച്ചു.

കൃത്യം 9:45നു മുംബൈ ശാഖാ പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ശ്രീ എ പി രഘുപതി, ദഹിസർ വിരാർ ഏരിയയിലെ  മുതിർന്ന അംഗങ്ങളായ ശ്രീമതി സരോജിനി പിഷാരസ്യാർ, ശ്രീ ഹരിദാസ് പിഷാരോടി, വൈസ് പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ശ്രീ കെ പി രാമചന്ദ്രൻ, കലാവിഭാഗം കൺവീനർ ശ്രീ വി പി ശശിധരൻ, സെക്രട്ടറി  ടി വി  മണിപ്രസാദ് തുടങ്ങിയവർ ചേർന്ന് ഭദ്രദീപം തെളിയിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് ഉദ്‌ഘാടനം നിർവ്വഹിച്ചു. ശ്രീ അരവിന്ദ് കുട്ടികൃഷ്ണൻ പ്രാർത്ഥന ചൊല്ലി.

ഡോംബിവിലി ഏരിയ വനിതാ വിഭാഗം അംഗങ്ങൾ ശ്രീമതി രാജേശ്വരി മുരളീധരന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ അരങ്ങേറിയ കൈകൊട്ടിക്കളിയോടെയാണ് ആഘോഷ പരിപാടികൾക്ക് തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചത്. ശ്രീമതി രാജേശ്വരി കൂടാതെ  കൈകൊട്ടിക്കളിയെ അതിന്റെ തനിമയോടെ അരങ്ങിൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത് ശ്രീമതിമാർ മിനി ശശിധരൻ, സുമ ഗോപിനാഥ്, ഷൈനി രാധാകൃഷ്ണൻ, സിന്ധു രമേശ്, ശുഭ ശശികുമാർ, രഞ്ജു നന്ദകുമാർ, രാജേശ്വരി പ്രമോദ് എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു.

അടുത്തതായി  അംബാ ശാംഭവി എന്ന ദേവീസ്തുതിയോടെ കുമാരി ശ്രദ്ധ പിഷാരോടി വളരെ മനോഹരമായി ഭരതനാട്യം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് ശ്രീമതി സന്ധ്യാ രമേഷ് പിഷാരോടി നരസിംഹ മാമവ എന്ന് തുടങ്ങുന്ന ആരഭി രാഗത്തിൽ ചിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയ  സ്വാതി തിരുനാൾ  കീർത്തനം  ശുദ്ധ ശാസ്ത്രീയ സംഗീത വഴികളിലൂടെ ആലപിച്ചു കൊണ്ട്  കാണികളെ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുത്തി.

പിന്നീട് രേഷ്മ പിഷാരോടി വളരെ നല്ല രീതിയിൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച വരാഹ രൂപം ദൈവ വരിഷ്ഠം എന്ന ഒരു സെമി ക്‌ളാസിക്കൽ നൃത്തമായിരുന്നു അരങ്ങിലെത്തിയത്. അടുത്തതായി, മണ്ഡലക്കാലത്തിനു അനുയോജ്യമാം വണ്ണം ബിഹാഗ് രാഗത്തിൽ ഒരു അയ്യപ്പ ഭജൻ ശ്രുതിശുദ്ധമായും താളബോധത്തോടെയും വളരെ ഭംഗിയായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു കാണികളെ കയ്യിലെടുത്തു നമ്മുടെ കൊച്ചു മിടുക്കൻ ശ്രീരാഗ് സുധിർ.

കാന്ഹാ സോ ജാ സരാ എന്ന ചടുല സെമിക്ലാസിക് നൃത്തവുമായി അനന്യ ഗോപകുമാർ പിഷാരോടിയെന്ന കൊച്ചു കലാകാരി കാണികളുടെ മനം കവർന്നു. തുടർന്ന് ജിഷ്ണു പിഷാരോടി ഒരു ഹിന്ദി ഗാനവുമായി അരങ്ങിലെത്തി.

വീണ്ടും മറ്റൊരു കൊച്ചു കലാകാരി, അനുശ്രീ അരുൺ, ഭരതനാട്യം മാർഗത്തിലെ അലാരിപ്പ്, കാർത്തികേയ കൗത്വo ഇവയുടെ ചിട്ടയായ അവതരണത്തിലൂടെ കാണികളെ ആനന്ദിപ്പിച്ചു.

വയലാറിന്റെ രചനയിൽ ദേവരാജൻ മാസ്റ്റർ ഈണം പകർന്ന് 50 വർഷത്തിനിപ്പുറവും ശില്പഗോപുരത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന ചക്രവർത്തിനി എന്ന ഗാനവുമായി അനുഗൃഹീത ഗായകൻ അരവിന്ദ് കുട്ടികൃഷ്ണൻ സദസ്സിനെ അക്ഷരാർത്ഥത്തിൽ ഗൃഹാതുര സ്മരണകളിലേക്ക് കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോയി. തിരുവാറന്മുള കൃഷ്ണാ എന്ന മറ്റൊരു ഭക്തി ഗാനവുമായാണ് രാജശ്രീ കുട്ടികൃഷ്ണൻ എത്തിയത്.

വീണ്ടും കാണികളെ മികച്ചൊരു നൃത്തവുമായി  നൃത്ത ലോകത്തേക്ക് നയിക്കാനെത്തിയത് ഓഹ് രംഗ് രേസ് തെരെ എന്ന സിനിമാറ്റിക് നൃത്തവുമായി ശരണ്യ ശശികുമാറായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് ഭൂമിയെ സ്നേഹിച്ച ദേവാംഗനയൊരു എന്ന ഗാനവുമായി സുജാത കരുണാകരൻ എത്തി.

പിന്നീട് ഹിന്ദി സിനിമാ ഗാനങ്ങൾ കോർത്തിണക്കിയ ഒരു മെഡ്‌ലി നൃത്തവുമായി അനഘ മണിപ്രസാദ്‌ കാണികൾക്ക് വിരുന്നൊരുക്കി. അതിന് ശേഷം  ടി വി മണിപ്രസാദ്‌ മൃദംഗവാദനത്തിലൂടെ കാണികളെ വീണ്ടും ശാസ്ത്രീയ വഴികളിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ട് വന്നു.

തുടർന്ന് കൽവ-ഘാട്കോപോപ്പർ ഏരിയക്കാരുടെ ഒരു മുഹമ്മദ് റാഫി ട്രിബിയൂട്ട് ആയിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഗാനാലാപന സപര്യയിലൂടെ ഒരു സഞ്ചാരം. ജി പി നന്ദകുമാർ, ഇന്ദിര രഘുപതി, പ്രേമ രാം മോഹൻ, അരുൺ രഘുപതി തുടങ്ങിയവരായിരുന്നു ഈ ഗാനാഞ്ജലിയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തത്.

കൃഷ്ണ ലീലകളുടെ മനോഹരമായ ഒരു രംഗാവിഷ്കാരമായിരുന്നു തുടർന്ന് നടന്ന   ആര്യ അനിൽ കുമാറിന്റെ ഭരതനാട്യം ശബ്ദം. തുടർന്ന് തങ്കത്തോണി എന്ന ഗാനവുമായി ഷീബ ദേവദാസ് കാണികൾക്ക് ശ്രവ്യ വിരുന്നൊരുക്കി.

മറാഠ ഫോക് നൃത്തരൂപമായ ലാവണിയുടെ മുഴുവൻ  മനോഹാരിതയും ചടുലതയും സമ്മിശ്രണം ചെയ്ത ഒരു നൃത്തവുമായാണ് വിശാഖ പിഷാരോടി എത്തിയത്. തുടർന്ന് തന്റെ വാക്ചാതുരിയും കഥാ കഥന-കാവ്യാലാപന പാടവവും സമ്മിശ്രണം ചെയ്ത ഒരു മികച്ച   കഥാ പ്രസംഗവുമായെത്തിയത് മായാ ശ്രീഹരിയായിരുന്നു. തമിഴ് ഇതിഹാസ കാവ്യം ചിലപ്പതികാരത്തിലെ കണ്ണകിയെ കുറിച്ചായിരുന്നു കഥാപ്രസംഗം.

ഫാഷൻ ഷോ എന്നത് വളരെ നല്ല രീതിയിൽ നടത്താൻ  ഞങ്ങൾക്കും പറ്റുമെന്ന് ഉറക്കെ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് ഒരു കൂട്ടം അമ്മമാരും അമ്മമ്മമാരും ചേർന്നൊരുക്കിയ വേറിട്ട ഫാഷൻ ഷോയുമായെത്തിയത് നവി മുംബൈ ഏരിയക്കാരായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് ഫോക് ഡാൻസ് ചുവടുകളുമായി ചടുല നൃത്തമൊരുക്കി ശ്രദ്ധയും അനന്യയും കാണികളെ വീണ്ടും കയ്യിലെടുത്തു.

ദഹിസർ-വിരാർ ഏരിയക്കാർ ഒരുക്കിയ വളരെ നല്ല രീതിയിൽ ആലപിച്ച നിന്നെ കാണാൻ എന്ന വളരെ പ്രസിദ്ധി നേടിയ ഒരു നാടൻ പാട്ടായിരുന്നു പിന്നീട് അരങ്ങേറിയത്. സി പി ശശികുമാർ, അരവിന്ദ് കുട്ടികൃഷ്ണൻ, രാജശ്രീ കുട്ടികൃഷ്ണൻ, ഷീബ ദേവദാസ്, സുജാത കരുണാകരൻ, ലത ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്ണൻ എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു ഈ പാട്ട് വിരുന്നിൽ പങ്കാളികളായത്.

തുടർന്ന് ഏതോ വാർമുകിലിൽ കിനാവിലെ എന്ന ഗാനവുമായി ആശ മണിപ്രസാദ്‌ അരങ്ങിലെത്തി. അതിനെത്തുടർന്ന് ഈയിടെ അന്തരിച്ച ശ്രീനിവാസൻ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലെ മികച്ച ഗാനങ്ങൾ കൂട്ടിയിണക്കി തീർത്ത ഒരു മെഡ്‌ലിയുമായി ജോഗേശ്വരി-ബോറിവ്‌ലി സംഘമെത്തി. സന്ധ്യ രമേഷ്, വത്സല കൃഷ്ണകുമാർ, അഞ്ജന വിനോദ്, ദിവ്യ അജയ് എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു ഇതിലെ ഗായികമാർ.

പുത്തൻ രീതിയിലുള്ള ഒരു സംഘനൃത്തവുമായി ഡോംബിവ്‌ലി ഏരിയ വനിതാ വിഭാഗം വീണ്ടും അരങ്ങിലെത്തി. തുടർന്ന് ഡോംബിവ്‌ലി വിഭാഗം പുത്തൻ ട്രെൻഡ് ആയ ഭജന രീതിയിൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ഭക്തിഗാനസുധയിൽ അംഗങ്ങളും ഒത്തു ചേർന്നതോടെ 43മത് വാർഷികാഘോഷ പരിപാടിയുടെ ആദ്യ പകുതിക്ക് തിരശീല വീണു.

രണ്ടാം പകുതി ആരംഭിച്ചത് പ്രത്യേക പരിപാടിയായ  “കുറത്തിയാട്ടത്തോടെ” ആയിരുന്നു. ശനിദശ മനുഷ്യരിലെന്ന പോലെ ദേവന്മാരിലും ബാധകമാണ് എന്ന ആപ്തവാക്യമാണ് കുറത്തിയാട്ടം എന്ന കലാരൂപത്തിന് നിദാനമത്രെ. ശ്രീപരമേശ്വരന് ശനിദശയുടെ ആഗമനമുണ്ടാകുന്നതോടെ ശനിദേവന്റെ നേർക്കാഴ്ചയിൽ നിന്നും മാറിനിൽക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ച്   ശ്രീപരമേശ്വരൻ കുറവ രൂപനായും ശ്രീപാർവ്വതിദേവി കുറത്തി രൂപിണിയായും കാനനവാസത്തിന് പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ ശനിദേവൻ ഒരു കാട്ടാള വേഷം പൂണ്ട് ശ്രീമഹേശ്വരനെയും ശ്രീപാർവ്വതിദേവിയെയും പിന്തുടർന്ന് അവരുടെ ഉദ്ദേശ ശുദ്ധിക്ക് ഭംഗം വരുത്തുവാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുകയും ഒടുവിൽ ഇരുവരും ഏറ്റു മുട്ടുകയും ശനിദേവന്റെ ശക്തി കുറയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

ശ്രീമതി വെച്ചൂർ രമാദേവിയും, ശ്രീ വെച്ചൂർ ഗോപിയും  സംഘവുമാണ് ഈ കലാരൂപം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്. ശ്രീമതി വെച്ചൂർ രമാദേവിക്ക് ഈ വർഷത്തെ സംസ്ഥാന ഗവണ്മെന്റ് ഫോക്-ലോർ പുരസ്‌കാരം ലഭിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. കൂടാതെ കലാസാഗർ അവാർഡ്, കേരള കലാക്ഷേത്ര അവാർഡ്, തൃക്കാക്കരയപ്പൻ പുരസ്‌കാരം തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി  പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

കുറത്തിയാട്ടം എന്ന ഈ ഗ്രാമീണ ക്ഷേത്ര കലാരൂപം വേദികളുടെ കുറവ് മൂലം അന്യം നിന്ന് പോകുന്ന ഒരു അവസ്ഥയിലാണ്. അതിനെ നിലനിർത്തിക്കൊണ്ടു പോകുവാൻ  മുംബയിൽ ഇദംപ്രഥമമായി ഈ കലാരൂപത്തിന് ഒരു വേദിയൊരുക്കുവാൻ മുംബൈ ശാഖ ശ്രമിച്ചു. അവരുടെ പ്രകടനത്തിന് ശേഷം പങ്കെടുത്ത കലാകാരന്മാരെയെല്ലാം പൊന്നാട നൽകി ആദരിക്കുകയുമുണ്ടായി.

തുടർന്ന് ശാഖ നൽകി വരുന്ന വിവിധ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ അവാർഡുകൾ പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ശ്രീ എ പി രഘുപതി, ശ്രീ ഹരിദാസ് പിഷാരോടി,  ശ്രീ പി വിജയൻ, ശ്രീ പൊറ്റയിൽ നാരായണൻ(റിട്ടയെഡ് ഡി.ഇ.ഓ) എന്നിവർ ചേർന്ന് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് നൽകി.

കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം ആരംഭിച്ച മഹിളാ വിങ്ങിന്റെ ഇത് വരെയുള്ള പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളെ സന്ധ്യ രമേഷ് പിഷാരോടി അംഗങ്ങളെ അറിയിച്ചു. കൂടുതൽ മഹിളകൾ ഈ വേദിയിലേക്ക് പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ തയ്യാറായി വരേണ്ടതിന്റെ ആവശ്യകത അവർ ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞു. കൂടാതെ കൂടുതൽ യുവാക്കളും സമാജം പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് വരേണ്ടതുണ്ടെന്ന് സന്ധ്യ പറഞ്ഞു.

കലാപരിപാടികളിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത ചെറിയ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് വനിതാ വിഭാഗം അംഗങ്ങൾ പാരിതോഷികങ്ങൾ  നൽകി.

43 മത്‌ വാർഷികാഘോഷം ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് വിജയകരമാക്കാൻ സഹായിച്ച ഏവർക്കും ദഹിസർ-വിരാർ ഏരിയ അംഗം ദിനേശ് പിഷാരോടി സമുചിതമായി നന്ദി അറിയിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് ദേശീയഗാനാലാപനത്തോടെ 5 മണിക്ക് വാർഷികാഘോഷങ്ങൾക്ക് സമാപനമായി.

ഈ വർഷത്തെ വാര്ഷികാഘോഷത്തിൽ 160ൽ പരം അംഗങ്ങൾ പങ്കെടുത്തുവെന്നതും പരിപാടികൾ കഴിയും വരെ പങ്കാളികളായെന്നതും ചാരിതാർഥ്യമുളവാക്കുന്നു. പ്രത്യേകം സൂചിപ്പിക്കേണ്ട ഒരു കാര്യം പരിപാടികളിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തവരിൽ ചിലർ എഴുപതും എൺപതും വയസ്സുള്ളവരായിരുന്നിട്ടും തങ്ങളുടെ ശാരീരികാസ്വസ്ഥതകളെ മറച്ചുവെച്ചു കൊണ്ട് പരിപാടികളിൽ വളരെ സജീവമായി പങ്കെടുത്തു, പ്രകടനം നടത്തി. ഇത് വാസ്തവത്തിൽ പ്രശംസനീയമായിരുന്നു.

മുംബൈ പോലെയുള്ള മഹാനഗര നഗരത്തിൽ ആളുകൾ തിരക്കേറിയ ജീവിതം നയിക്കുമ്പോൾ, വെസ്റ്റേൺ റെയിൽവേയുടെ അറ്റത്തുള്ള വസായിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചേരാൻ, ദൂരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അംഗങ്ങൾ വളരെ നേരത്തെ തന്നെ യാത്ര ചെയ്തു രാവിലെ 8 മണിക്ക് വേദിയിൽ എത്തിയെന്നതും പ്രത്യേകം പരാമർശിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതാണ്.

43rd Annual Celebrations of Pisharody Samajam, Mumbai

The 43rd annual celebrations of the Pisharody Samajam, Mumbai Branch, were held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Prarthana  Hall adjoining the Shabarigiri Ayyappa Temple, Vasai West, with a variety of cultural programs.

At exactly 9:45 a.m., the function was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp by President Sri A. P. Raghupathi, along with senior members from the Dahisar–Virar area, Smt. Sarojini Pisharasyar, Sri Haridas Pisharody, Vice President Sri K. P. Ramachandran, Cultural Wing Convenor Sri V. P. Sasidharan, Secretary T. V. Maniprasad, and others. Sri Aravind Kuttikrishnan led the opening prayer.

The program began with a Kaikottikkali performed by the Dombivli Area Women’s Wing, under the leadership of Smt. Rajeshwari Muralidharan. Along with her, the dance was beautifully presented by Smt. Mini Sasidharan, Suma Gopinath, Shiny Radhakrishnan, Sindhu Ramesh, Shubha Sasikumar, Ranju Nandakumar, and Rajeshwari Pramod.

Next, Kumari Shraddha Pisharody performed a graceful Bharatanatyam to the devotional hymn Amba Shambhavi. Following this, Smt. Sandhya Ramesh Pisharody rendered the Swathi Thirunal kriti Narasimha Mamava in Raga Arabhi, impressing the audience with pure classical music.

Then came a semi-classical dance, Varaha Roopam Daiva Varishtam, performed excellently by Reshma Pisharody. A soulful Ayyappa bhajan in Raga Behag, appropriate for the Mandala season, was beautifully sung by young talent Srirag Sudhir, winning the hearts of the audience.

Ananya Gopakumar Pisharody, another young artist, captivated the crowd with a lively semi-classical dance to Kanha So Ja Zara. Jishnu Pisharody followed with a Hindi song.

Another child artist, Anushree Arun, delighted the audience with her Bharatanatyam presentation of Alarippu and Kartikeya Kauthvam.

Renowned singer Aravind Kuttikrishnan transported the audience into nostalgic memories with the evergreen song Chakravarthini, composed by Devarajan Master with lyrics by Vayalar, even after 50 years. Rajashree Kuttikrishnan followed with the devotional song Thiruvaranmula Krishna.

Sharanya Sasikumar then presented a cinematic dance to Oh Rang Raze Tere, while Sujatha Karunakaran sang Bhoomiye Snehicha Devanganayoru.

A Hindi film medley dance was performed by Anagha Maniprasad, after which T. V. Maniprasad enthralled the audience with his mridangam recital.

The Kalva–Ghatkopar group presented a Mohammed Rafi tribute, with renditions by G. P. Nandakumar, Indira Raghupathi, Prema Ram Mohan, and Arun Raghupathi.

Arya Anil Kumar performed a Bharatanatyam piece depicting Krishna Leelas, followed by Sheeba Devadas singing Thankathoni.

Vishakha Pisharody brought the vibrancy of Maharashtrian folk Lavani dance to the stage. Maya Sreehari impressed with her storytelling and poetic narration in a Katha Prasangam based on the Tamil epic Silappathikaram, focusing on Kannagi.

The Navi Mumbai group presented a unique fashion show by mothers and grandmothers, declaring proudly that they too could stage such events. Shraddha and Ananya returned with a lively folk dance.

The Dahisar–Virar group sang the popular folk song Ninne Kaanan, with C. P. Sasikumar, Aravind Kuttikrishnan, Rajashree Kuttikrishnan, Sheeba Devadas, Sujatha Karunakaran, and Latha Unnikrishnan participating.

Asha Maniprasad then sang Yetho Varmukilil Kinaavile. The Jogeshwari–Borivli group presented a medley of songs from the films of the recently deceased Sreenivasan, with singers Sandhya Ramesh, Vatsala Krishnakumar, Anjana Vinod, and Divya Ajay.

The Dombivli Women’s Wing returned with a new-style group dance, followed by a devotional bhajan ensemble, concluding the first half of the celebrations.

Second Half – Special Program: Kurathiyattam

The second half began with the special performance of Kurathiyattam, a traditional temple folk art. Based on the belief that Saturn’s influence affects even the gods, the story depicts Lord Parameswara and Goddess Parvathi taking the forms of Kuravan and Kurathi to avoid Saturn’s gaze. Saturn, disguised as a wild man, pursues them, attempting to disrupt their purity of purpose. Eventually, a confrontation ensues, and Saturn’s power diminishes.

This art form was presented by Smt. Vechur Ramadevi, Sri Vechur Gopi, and their troupe. Smt. Ramadevi has received the State Government Folklore Award this year, along with several other honors such as the Kalasaagar Award, Kerala Kalakshetra Award, and Thrikkakkarayappan Award.

Kurathiyattam, a rural temple art, is facing extinction due to lack of platforms. For the first time in Mumbai, the branch provided a stage for this art form. After the performance, all participating artists were honored with ponnada (traditional shawls).

Educational Awards

Finally, the Sakha distributed its annual educational awards to students as listed above in Malayalam Version. The awards were presented by President Sri A. P. Raghupathi, Sri Haridas Pisharody, Sri P. Vijayan, and Sri Pottayil Narayanan (Retired DEO).

Sandhya Ramesh Pisharody briefed the members about the activities carried out so far by the Mahila Wing, which was started last year. She emphasized the need for more women to come forward and actively participate in this platform. She also highlighted the importance of greater involvement of youth in the activities of the Samajam.

The Women’s Wing members distributed prizes to the little children who had participated in the cultural programs.

Dinesh Pisharody, area member from the Dahisar–Virar area, expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the 43rd Annual Celebrations.

The program concluded at 5:00 p.m. with the singing of the National Anthem.

It was indeed a praiseworthy thing that some of the participants were in their seventies and eighties and had activity enjoyed and performed inspite of their old age ailments.

More than 160 members came for the event and sat thru till evening. In a metropolitan city like Mumbai where people lead a razmataz life, and Vasai is located at the far end of Western Railway, members from far flung areas travelled all the way to reach the venue. Many of them had started their journey quite early, so as to reach the venue well in time, say by 8.00 a.m.
