All of us know
that it may not be possible for all members of Pisharody
community to attend all meetings of the Pisharody Samajam. As
such they will not be in touch with the discussions, decisions
and other transactions conducted in the meetings of the Samajam. Thulaseedalam
is an envoy which brings to the homes of the members anything
and everything relating to the Samajam.
In the beginning,
the magazine was known as "Samajapathrika". The honourable Late
Sanskrit scholar Sri. Eranellur Bharatha Pisharody gave the
magazine its present name and emblem. Late Dr. S.K.Pisharody has
helped Thulaseedalam
very much financially to tide over its difficulties at the early
stage. With Late Sri. Elamkulam Krishna Pisharody as editor and
Sri. K.Govinda Pisharody as Manager, the magazine flourished and
was able to stand on its own legs. All the issues were published
regularly without any break.
In 1990 's
magazine got a new life by Late Sri. Arangottu Sekhara Pisharody.
The magazine which started from nothing, under the leadership of
Panditharathnam K.P.Narayana Pisharody as editor and Sri.
V.P.Sukumaran as manager maintained a high standard in matter of
the contents of the magazine and attained financial stability.

Samajam news the magazine is giving a chance to young literacy
talents from pisharody families to develop their skills by
publishing their amateur works in the magazine. In special
issues for Onam and Vishu, famous writers from other communities
also contribute their work to the magazine. The matter intended

THULASI AWARD
This is
an award sponsored by samajam's Kongad unit to encourage young
writers up to the age of 20. The award is given for a best short
story every year. Those who wish to participate should send
their articles to the editor before 31st of March every year.

PIRANNAL MADURAM
Photographs of children up to the age of 10 can published under
this column in their birthday month. From April 08 onwards the
photos will be published in website also and the charges are
Rs.250 per insertion.
SPONSORSHIP
On special occasions like Marriage, Birthday, Shashtipurthi,
Shathabhishekam of your relatives and to commemorate the death
or Annual death ceremony of your departed dear ones, you can

PRATHIKARANAM
Through this column all members can express their opinions,
suggestions remedial measures etc. for common problems
concerning the Samajam and they can express their responses to
the matters published in the magazine.
CENTRAL - UNIT NEWS BULLETINS
The information regarding various decisions and other activities
both at the central and other branches of the Samajam are
conveyed to the members through this column.
SUBSCRIPTION
The price of one copy of Thulaseedalam
is Rs.12 and annual subscription is Rs.125. For overseas
subscription the rate is Rs.1000 to be sent by book post and Rs.1500
by regular post.
